The Tale of Castaway Kate
I’ll tell you a tale of Castaway Kate,
A swashbuckling lass was she.
It was adventure she sought
And of treasure she thought
As she journeyed across the sea.
On the Pearl Princess she sailed the world
From Nassau down to the Cape,
But her course was lost
In a storm she was tossed,
Marooned would now be her fate.
On a tropical isle Kate’s ship had wrecked
And alone she thought she’d be,
But to her great pleasure
She found more than treasure
In a place known as Clearwater Key.
There she met a young captain, who also was stranded,
On the beach one afternoon late.
And what Kate came to adore
Was the white sandy shore,
And the riches she shared with her mate.
So happy at last, young Kate and her captain
They both now live barefoot and free,
Thus to all those who venture
In search of grand treasure
Set sail for Clearwater Key!
